7" Hunting Knife with Fire Starter
"This is the Mini Full Tang Survival Knife Magnesium Fire Starter. The Blade of the knife has been constructed from 440 Stainless Steel with a tanto point. The sheath is tough green nylon with a belt loop. The knife includes a magnesium rod fire starter."
We've all seen this knife on the auction sites and some of you probably have one tucked away in a drawer or backpack. Let's face it, this is a cheap knife. But is it worth buying?
The Rocket Stove - One HOT item
What do you do after you've used up all of your Coleman fuel and propane? How are you going to prepare your rice & beans? Wood is always a good option, but depending on you location, you may have a problem with the amount of wood that is available. After doing some research I came across the "Rocket Stove".

Book Review - Dark Grid
Dark Grid
by David C. Waldron
In the wake of a solar event, the likes of which hasn't been seen since 1859 when the height of technology was the telegraph, the northern hemisphere is faced with a new reality...a life without power. The electrical grids of virtually the entire planet have shorted out as a result of expected but completely unplanned for sunspot activity during the peak of the current solar cycle.

Gerber Bear Grylls Survival Knife
The most important tool that any Hiker, Camper, Prepper and Survivalist can have is a knife. Perhaps this stems from my time as a United States Army Ranger, in any case, your knife is your best friend. As a general rule, I carry at least two knives on me at all times, somethimes as many as eight. Some might think that a bit excentric but, "while I may become a victim, but I will never be a helpless victim".
The uses for a good knife is only limited to your imagination. It is so much more that a cutting tool or a means of self defense.
